I am in support of a Virginia Moratorium on Menhaden purse seine fishing in the Bay. I know it may affect people's lively hood, however that cost must be evaluated against the cost of loss of chedpeaks bay ecosystem food chain that supports crabbing, and fishing industry both commercial and recreational. Provisions could be made to support transition of menhaden industry to emerging alternative forms of fishery such as shrimp fishery and take pressure off of tjd menhaden entering tje bay.
