Kratom when used and stored properly, is a safe and effective tool to help manage discomfort from certain painful conditions.   I have used kratom for years, after a motor vehicle accident, and found it safe and effective.   Much safer than prescription medications.  
I recommend passing a Kratom Consumer Protection Act instead of a ban.  Age limits for sale of at least 18 yrs old are recommended.   
Keep kratom legal please.  
I do not live in Virginia, but I travel through, and spend time in Virginia, several times each year.
