This is a poorly considered regulatory overreach. You are assuming that any counseling, religious or otherwise, is abusive. Yet, the young person in question may be very unhappy about fearing he or she may not be able to remain within the boundaries of his fath tradition. He may be asking for clarification about his feelings, or even wishing to both accept himself and at the same time find a way to live a chaste life. It’s a hard thing to do in over-sexualized culture. If that maybultimately be a person’s choice, he will need support and assurance. Do not restrict a full exploration of all possibilities in a religious youth’s life.
