Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

No! No! No!

I strongly oppose this. Our children should be at school focusing on education. I am a child of God and I love everyone. I do not have to support everyone’s decisions or agree with them but I still love them. With that being said all children should feel safe at school. I agree with that part. But school is for education. Kids have the rest of their lives to make these kind of decisions. But don’t force it on them at such a young, innocent age. Don’t subject everyone’s kids to this. Dont allow boys in the bathroom with young girls. That screams a disaster waiting to happen. Not too mention parents not knowing about Things happening at school because you don’t have to tell us. No way!!!  There’s a time and place for everything but I can assure you that this is not the time nor the place. I am strongly against this! Please think about our kids. Our young daughters. Our sons. They’re so innocent and young. Don’t subject them to this. It’s not the time. It should be up to a parent to discuss these things. And  When they’re elementary age,( even middle school ), it’s definitely not time. Don’t do this! There’s other ways to go about this. But this ain’t the correct way at all!!!! I love everyone. I want my children to love everyone. And they do! They aren’t born with hatred towards others. They learn that. And at home I am not teaching them to hate anyone or bully anyone or even hurt someone’s feelings in the least. I am teaching love!! A godly love. Therefore things should be taught in the home. And only in the home. Period. So please don’t do this!!
