its totally illegal for PT to use acupuncture needles according to the FDA regulation. It also puts the patients in a very dangerious situation because acupuncture practice need long time medical training to achieve, currently only acupuncturist and MD with 300 hours special acupuncture training can do acupuncture treatment. I can't imagine PT with very limited knowledage about acupuncture to practice on patients with the so called dry needle.
