The over fishing of menhaden is hurting local commercial fishing companies Iike the Davenports on Dymer Creek.

I live in the area and observwd  diminishing Osprey population around Fleets Bay due very few Menhaden.in this area. 

After 2 years of unproductive  recreational fishing,  I have decided to sell my boat to lack of fish and unfortunately we not be teaching my grandkids the joy I experience while fishing on the Chesapeake.  

The state of Virginia needs to outlaw industrial purse seine fishing.
