I strongly oppose this petition. Please deny it. All Virginians, including trans girls and boys, deserve the right to participate in sports, including having full access to locker rooms and other facilities, without judgment or scrutiny of their bodies. There are no instances of physical or psychological harm caused by allowing full participation in sports, while there are many benefits. If there is a need for guidelines or restrictions, it is not the jurisdiction of the Virginia health department. Please focus your time and energy on more pressing issues that truly impact the health of Virginian women. As a Virginian woman, and the mother of girls participating in sports, we do not want or need your defense or protection.
