Oppose license increase

I oppose the increase on RN licensure. As I have always had an exceptional work ethic, I am tired as a nurse and I am burnt out with only being a RN for 5 years. I have been effected mentally and physically by my job and I have considered quitting several times as the acuity in healthcare continues to get higher and staffing needs become even more critical. There is a nursing shortage no matter what the media is telling people. As we may have had some pay increase, it is still not enough to hardly survive in our economy and we are taxed a lot of what our income should be. Some of us are still struggling to pay back student loans and have to add our CEUs. We can’t even afford to further our education because the cost of living is already so high. Furthermore, we do not have a union to protect us and I don’t feel I should have to pay even more  money to be treated the way we are. I am passionate about my job and my patients, but I am tired. I feel we should not have to pay any additional fees with what we struggle with on a daily basis.
