Addition of kratom to Schedule I

I strongly support this petition to reschedule KRATOM to a Schedule 1 category. Here are some reasons why.  According to the FDA site " ... kratom is not lawfully marketed in the U.S. as a drug product, dietary supplement, or a food additive in conventional food". There are relatively few, if any, acceptable studies detailing any benefits of this product as it is marketed as a supplement.  This product has potential risks (per FDA) such as liver toxicity, seizures, and substance use disorder (SUD). Some folks us this product for opioid withdrawal symptoms since it is non-prescription bypassing the more proven standards of care in this type of situation. While it is marketed as supplement, KRATOM certainly meets the criteria for inclusion into the Schedule 1 category. Thanks you for taking the time to review my comments.
