Focus on helping others

By trying to pass legislation to put a ban on a plant that has been used safely for centuries in Indochina is outrageous and unlawful. This plant works to the populations benefit without even needing to alter it other then drying the leaves. This is the best option available for a persons pain management, depression, motivation and as an alternative to hard painkillers. To even try and make it schedule 1 is absolutely ridiculous. It goes against what America stands for because it's not even possible to overdose or kill a person. What possible reason could one have to restrict is usage other then for nefarious purposes chosen by people who don't have its citizens best interest in mind. Kratom has saved my life and has kept me away from hard drugs, bad decisions and things that would have certainly ruined my life. I've been taking it for over a decade and if someone looks at me and doesn't see me as a healthy, sane and productive person then they're lying to themselves. Do what's best for people like me and reject any legislation that aims to ban, schedule or restrict kratom and taking it away from people who rely on it daily. As it is, we are doing alright with how things are, we don't need unnecessary government intervention.
