My journey with Kratom has been ongoing since 2018. I've seen myself fall apart little by little. I wanted to stop but never had that real drive or sense of urgency to do so. Within the last 3 years I noticed more and more dizziness, headaches, mood swings. I believed these all to be normal side effects equivalent to opiods.
Fast forward to the past 8 months. One night my face on the right side went numb and I had a panic attack. I actually thought I was having a stroke. That moment is when I really started to question how "clean" and safe is this natural herb? I'm now experiencing hot flashes, dizziness so bad that I would have to close my eyes, and vision impairment. So I came to a revelation that I cannot live like this anymore. Especially hearing that a Kratom manufacturer stated 2 GRAMS is a safe dose...2 GRAMS!!!??? I was taking up to 12!!! Most bottles or bags do not disclose a healthy dose which leaves people clueless on how much to ingest.
I've never seen that disclaimer in a Kratom bottle or even a warning, not to exceed 2 grams or I would have thought more before taking it. Yesterday was my last dose of 1 gram. My hot flashes have subsided by 70% and I still have a little bit of dizziness since the tapering.
I'm excited to see how the rest of my body will adjust in a healthy way but scared of what Kratom may have already damaged. I don't think this is a natural clean herb. I know it has helped many but has also hurt many. Hopefully something can be done that meets in the middle, where it won't hurt anyone else.
Thank you for your time.
