The therapeutic benefits of Kratom far outweigh any potential risk.  There is no justification for scheduling kratom other than pharmaceutical profit motive.  I have seen so many lives saved and recovered from the depths of dangerous opioid, benzodiazepine, and alcohol abuse because of access to inexpensive kratom.  It's been my experience and that of many 100's of thousands of Americans that Kratom does not lead to an escalation into "hard" drugs, nor does it carry a risk of overdose injuries beyond those of many OTC therapies such as acetaminophen, diphenhydramine etc.  Please diligently research the enormous amount of good kratom does for our society rather than push a profit driven agenda that wrongly targets kratom for scheduling.
