I don't live in Virginia, but I feel compelled to speak up for all of us who use this plant to stay off hard drugs and alcohol. I haven't had a drop of alcohol since I started taking kratom, and I think that speaks volumes. Don't ban this plant and push people back to opiates and alcohol. This plant allows people to live their lives safely. It would be a huge mistake to make kratom a schedule 1 substance. Good luck to my kratom advocates in Virginia, keep up the good fight.
