There are some valid concerns around Kratom, specifically contamination. However the scheduling suggested here is such an overreaction it is almost comical. Somehow the United States has not yet figured out that we fought the war on drugs and we got our butts kicked. If you actually want to deal with the problem of people getting addicted to substances, the answer is education and regulation to help supply remain pure of contaminants and the consumers to know what they are buying.
The same people here who advocate for Kratom being banned probably are fine with marijuana being legal, and certainly are for alcohol. Has no one learned their lesson? Telling people “hey don’t take this substance, it’s illegal” has never worked, and will never work. Imagine living in this day and age and being PRO war on drugs, disgraceful.
