Kratom should be kept legal because they can actually help people get off prescription opioids (which contribute to the epidemic that turns legitimate patients into street drug users).  Making kratom illegal would only make more street drug deaths occur. There should be federal legalization and regulation to make sure the kratom supply is consistent and clean, not tainted with other substances.  Regulations can (if properly instituted) keep people safe.  Testing purity and potency of chemical compounds is a good thing.  Please keep kratom legal.  Keeping kratom legal will reduce harm to a vulnerable population.
