Conversion therapy has done and continues to do harm to so, so many young people, and it needs to stop. The American Counseling Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Psychiatric Association agree (and have for a while now in some cases) that it doesn't work, and it can have long lasting negative effects on the mental and emotional health of the people subjected to it.
