The most important reason to ban "conversion" therapy is that even if its stated goals were reasonable, it does not achieve them, but in the process leaves the LGBTQ patient with permanent trauma.  It is an abusive process, as has been attested over and over and over again by survivors; and we don't hear from the ones who didn't survive the process, because they will have committed suicide.  Psychologists that perform this vile, abusive practice should lose their license.

Ban "conversion therapy".
