Kratom has proven a viable pain reliever

I have degenerative disc disease as well as Factor V Leiden (FVL). Because of the FVL, I'm unable to take NSAIDs for pain relief. Tylenol has no effect for me, and I would prefer to not be addicted to opioids.   I discovered Kratom and have found that using it in a limited, measured amount, nightly, allows me to sleep without back pain. I have been using Kratom for this purpose for 2 years.  Categorizing Kratom as a Schedule I product is an unnecessary step. Kratom, when used responsibly has no detrimental effects. I am strongly opposed to the Virginia Pharmacy boards request for inclusion of Kratom as a Schedule I drug.
