Pass proposed regulations to control runoff from development

I am writing to ask you to please pass the proposed regulations on runoff from development in their current form.  We are not winning the battle to save the Chesapeake Bay and must do everything in our power to protect it.  Development is a major contributor to our Bay's problems.  I realize that builders and developers are not happy with any addional regulations, but the price paid now is much less than the price we will pay later if we do not act in the best interests of the entire Commonwealth. Future generations will not thank us for being weak now and allowing specific groups with a monetary interest to water down regulations that are needed.

The  Chesapeake Bay is too important to Virginia, historically, culturally, recreationally, and financially, to fail to do what we now know is necessary. Please be led in your decision by what is right and necessary and not what is expediant.  The health and welfare of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia are in your hands.
