Baseless regulation for non-emergency

The governor's ipse dixit is not a rational basis for the proposed regulation.  It provides no evidence or rational basis for the action.  Yes, government employees work in government buildings.  Posting gun-free signs does nothing to protect them.  The regulation has no rational basis.

Worse than doing nothing, the regulation disarms honest people, some who are under ongoing threats. Are travelers in the state to avoid highway rest stops becuase there's an "executive" building there? And why use the weight of the state and its spending power to disarm other tenets of a building and infringe their right of self-defense when leasing office space?

There's no emergency need for more "gun-free" zones waithing for armed criminals. The rational alternative is to do nothing.

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
