As a registered CNS in the state of Virginia I support the changes in the regulations which would recognize the Clinical Nurse Specialist as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.  Clinical Nurse Specialists whose specialty is psychiatric mental health provide services that are theoretically grounded, safe, effective, and increasingly evidence based.
