I am in strong agreement with aligning our State Board definitions and scope of practice with the ConsensusModel: LACE. It meets the national agenda proposed in the IOM's Report to practice to the fullest capacity of our education and training; a necessity to offer quality care to our underserved areas. I would also support consistency across state lines. As a owner and provider of a mental health clinic, our ability to treat varies depending on the insurance company's state of licensure! An APRN is defined differently across our counry.
