I would like to urge the Virginia Board of Nursing to reconsider their stance on not allowing Excelsior College graduates direct licensure.  Excelsior College provides a great opportunity for adult learners to further their education through distance education. These students have years of experience in the field, and Excelsior College is approved by the National League of Nursing. I see no reason why these experienced nursing professionals should not be allowed direct licensure.
