Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

Teaching about Race/Culture/True History is essential to our countries survival

If you are scared of  children or young adults learning about REAL American History then you are a coward and extremely naïve. With access to the internet at our fingertips you can’t hide the truth for long, kids are able to Google whatever they want, and it is our duties as adults to teach them the truth. Learning about race and cultures is not political it is part of what makes up a real education.  To scream at town halls and educational board meetings that Critical Race Theory is “unconstitutional” or “a part of the liberal agenda” is just plain stupid and shows the world how little you know about theory and education, it is embarrassing to be American because of you people. Talking about race doesn’t turn people racist, it’s gives people a chance to discuss and learn about racial inequalities and hardships they may even be able to learn first hand accounts from their fellow classmates.
Leave your politics and religious views out of our education systems.
