Thank you for your participation in the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall Comment Forum. We appreciate the feedback you provided in response to the Supplemental Guidance for Evaluation and Eligibility in Special Education and Sample Eligibility Forms and Disability Worksheets. Comments and feedback received during the 30-day public comment period are being reviewed by Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) staff, and changes and edits will be incorporated into the document as appropriate.

This document was developed to assist local education agencies in implementing evaluation and eligibility practices consistently across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Once the final version becomes effective, local school divisions will be notified via Superintendent’s memo and it will be posted to the VDOE website. Again, the VDOE appreciates your participation and feedback during the public comment process.
