I would like to express my disappointed in the Governor's protective positions favoring AEP and Dominion Power companies. Based upon documented political conritutions from both of these "public" utilities, it is obvious to me and the majority of Virginia residents, that these utilities are no longer governed by non-partisan governmental officials and governed to protect our citizentry. Rather these utilities have bought and paid for our elected repsresentatives.
It is eseential that private citizens have the right to install solar power generating units in or on their private residences. I am in full and complete support of Aaron Sutch's positions as expressed in the Roanoke Times editorial of 7/23/18. A modern grid is essential to attracting businesses to the Comonwealth and AEP, a power company that lags all others in the US in management, has done NOTHING to enhance the electrical supply to Virginians. Senior AEP officials are paid millions to protect the company's stranglehold on its revenue stream while forcing senior citizens to pay down their 401K's, social security benefits, and other retirement support. Private solar generators are needed NOW.
