I am in full support of extending health benefits to other qualified adults.  My husband and I recently moved to Virginia and this is the first time I have ever worked for an institution or company that doesn't extend benefits to domestic partners.  I was shocked to learn that this benefit wasn't available and voiced my opinion during my orientation process.  Access to healthcare is crucial and when available will actually save money.  This isn't an additional burden on the state as the individual pays 100% of the cost if they choose to add an individual.
