This is long overdue.  We must move beyond conventional, moralistic modes of determining who should and should not be covered by our health benefits.  The exclusionary practices we have been engaging in must come to end for countless reasons -- I mean, yes, univerisities will have better recuitment and faculty retention - but this is so much more than that. It is a step, a gesture, an actual practice of true democracy and humanism which will hopefully continue to develop and spread throughout the nation.
