"Conversion Therapy" is known to be extremely dangerous and can lead to depression, decreased self-esteem, substance abuse, and even suicide attempts.  This practice has been discredited for quite some time, and no child should undergo this type of treatment.  Mental health clinicians should only utilized evidence based practices as treatment, and this is NOT one.
