As a Patient of acupuncture on a semi regular basis I am vehemently opposed to anyone performing any type of needling with only 54 hours of training. It is an impossibility for anyone to capture the fundamentals of needle placement and safety in such a short time.  The health hazards and risks with such few hours far exceeds the benefits.
