No to Dry Needling

Acupuncture has a long history, which means the Chinese people have been accumulated a huge mass of experiences of using various types of needle to treat many ailments. They have extensive knowledge from thousands of years' trial and error, thus they found out of the best way to reach a desired result and avoid damages. Though ancient Chinese didn't named it as "Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling," it was obvious that they already practiced, modified, and incorporated this type of modality into the system of acupuncture. Focusing only on the benefits of dry needling by PT is to overlooking that the PT lacks the full picture of using needles properly and safely. For the safety of public, please do not allow physical therapists do dry needling.
