Our professional identity is at stake. Consistency  is key. Psychologists and LPCs are credentialed by different boards using different criteria. I possess another counseling credential in addition to LPC which adds to my skill sets, but I did not expect that to enable me to be an LPC without meeting the specific education and experience required to be an LPC.
