I support the Chase petition. There is a need for change in the definitions of Section 10 and requirements in Section 49 of the regulations governing the practice of Professional Counseling in order to accept Master’s Degree graduates of a non-CACREP clinical-counseling psychology. I have been in the mental health field for fourteen years and believe there is no doubt these well-trained professionals deserve their license to practice counseling for citizens of Virginia.
