DMAS has not shared the reasoning for this proposed change. Service Facilitators are usually people who are parents of (or work with) individuals receiving services so they understand firsthand our lives and needs. DMAS hasn't explained what a broker would do and the impression it's giving is that it's a business entity with a singular concern: to decrease costs and services. Do not take away our service facilitators until you actually share information on why you're proposing it and what it actually means for us.
