I’m a college student at William & Mary and oppose the repeal of the RGGI bill. The 2020 law mandates Virginia to participate in RGGI so the administration should not repeal laws it disagrees with. The RGGI bill is working in reducing Virginia’s power plant emissions between 2020 and 2022. As a student hoping to go into environmental careers, I find it important to keep these bills like RGGI in hopes of creating a more sustainable environment for our futures and for future generations.
