| Purpose of the meeting A public hearing to receive comments on a proposed plan to maintain compliance with the 1997 fine particulate matter (PM2.5) national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) in the Northern Virginia PM2.5 Nonattainment Area. The Commonwealth intends to submit the plan as a revision to the Commonwealth of Virginia State Implementation Plan (SIP) in accordance with the requirements of ยง 110(a) of the federal Clean Air Act. The public comment period begins on January 28, 2013 and ends on February 26, 2013.
