| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Environmental Quality will convene the hearing to discuss a proposed revision to the Virginia State Implementation Plan (SIP). The revision consists of rescission of the Transco Fluvanna Station 175 permit. Transco has permanently shut down certain units that were subject to Phase II NOX SIP Call requirements. Because the permit for these units is an approved part of Virginia’s state implementation plan (SIP), a SIP revision is now necessary to remove the permit from the SIP. DEQ is seeking comment on the issue of whether the now-obsolete permit should be removed from the SIP.
