| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Environmental Quality will conduct a public briefing regarding the modified steel recycling facility application from Chaparral (Virginia) Inc. This facility is subject to the Prevention of Significant Deterioration regulations and is located in Dinwiddie County on a site bordered by Church Road and Squirrel Level Road, and the N&S Railroad. The purpose of the briefing is to inform the public of the contents of the draft permit for the facility prior to the commencement of the public comment period. A public hearing regarding the permit application will be held by the Piedmont Regional Office following public notice of the hearing and a 45 day public comment period. The public may review the draft permit and application at the DEQ office named above or may request copies of the documents from the contact person listed above. | |
