| Purpose of the meeting A public hearing on a draft PSD permit for Georgia-Pacific Wood Products LLC in response to an application to modify their Jarratt Facility. The facility is classified as a major source of air pollution. The amount of the additional pollutants that is allowed beyond the baseline pollution levels is an increase of 10.5 tons/yr of hydrogen chloride. This increase resulted from burning coal in their boiler with a high chloride content. Toxic modeling was completed by the facility which showed they are still in compliance with the significant ambient air concentration (SAAC) levels. There will be no changes to other air pollutants from the facility. | |
