As a mother of two children who has used the services of Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs), I support the Emergency Regulaions and ask that they be made permanent. I would add that I also support statutory change that would permit midwives to carry controlled substances that are within their scope of practice for rare emergency situations.

The licensing of midwives in Virginia is an important step in providing Virginia families with another safe childbirth option.
