DD Waiver cuts to 56 hours

It is only because of my state approved and governmentally funded waiver that me and my family have access to CRITICAL Services and Supports.  My waiver benefits are implemented and used to aid me daily in doing my personal best in being a functioning and positively impacting member of my own COMMUNITY  - and society at large.  tThis waiver enables me to go to school at Northern Virginia Community College and attend a Day Program during the Day. I also have an personal assistant. This allows my mother to work and not have to take care of me.

I know how devastating a significant reduction and/or losing Medicaid services would be to myself and my family.
I also know that myself and anyone else who has a Virginia Developmental Delay (DD) Waiver should be personally contacted and made aware of any significant changes prior to them being fully changed and/or amended by the state!
Like my many disabled peers - as someone with high support needs  - I too deserve Quality of Life and Access to Necessary Supports.
