Changes and EVV requirement

As I understand the changes, there is only one reason EVV is being required for live in providers. To save money. Period.  Caring for a disabled person through birth and their whole life can be difficult and costly. If the state were required to care for these people, it would cost the state hundred of thousands of dollars a year. Instead, they pay the parents to do this for pennies on the dollar and want to squeeze these parents even more.

They want parents to forget to enter the hours. For not entering hours there is no penalty, you will not be paid. If you forget to enter your shift and correct it, not only are you still not paid, but you are flagged as non complient and could possibly be kicked off the program.

On what strange world is this supposed to help anyone, but the state? Please explain this to me. I guess I am stupid. Please explain to me that if you are a certified live in provider and have checked all the boxes for that having to check in and out of a app does anything to increase care. It does not. I have worked for 45 years. Who has not forgotten to enter hours and not be paid for them? Not very likely, except with DMAS.

They WANT you to forget the hours, so you will not be paid and if your correct it, you will not be paid and be flagged for removal. You have got to be kidding me. I have raised my disabled child for 43 years. I am old and breaking down. Now with this ridiculous requirement, it will become a finacial burden. So people will throw up their hands, let the state take over and will wind up costing 10 times the amount to care for the individual.

What would it cost to hire a nurse to provide care for these individuals? 80? 100 dollars a hour? What do they pay live in providers? What a joke. In general people need to remember the government is not your friend. They don't want to help you and do it because someone forced them to do it and now they slowly weasel out of it with stunts like this. Why do we not make our scumbag politicians log in and out of a app? What are they doing other than making life more difficult for people?

Then they want to get rid of service facilitators. Well who is going to do their job? Well as far as I have found out no one. In addition, now you have to qualify every six months instead of 1 year. Even though they are getting rid of the entity that does the signing up. My county contact person had no idea they are supposedly tasked with this. My Lord the more you read about this, the more it is obvious this has to do with trying to make it as difficult as possible to get any aid from the state. Period. Please, oh please contact me if you can explain this in any other rational way.
