The democratic, self-run structure of the house fosters a powerful sense of shared accountability and responsibility, helping me rebuild my independence in a safe, zero-tolerance environment. By sharing expenses and household duties, I have been able to regain stability while actively taking ownership of my life, my community, and my sobriety every single day.
