The Chesapeake Bay is a living system, and Menhaden are one of the species that hold it together.  They filter the water, feed larger fish like striped bass, and support birds and marine life throughout the bay.  When they are overfished it weakens the health of the ecosystem.  I support stronger protections and responsible harvest limits.
