We, the residents of Silver Beach, have been fighting the Industrial Commercial Fishing which is happening in the Chesapeake Bay. After a spill of dead fish at Silver Beach 3 years ago, we have sent letters to the local and federal government agencies, started a huge support system which covers from North Carolina to New York State, we have gotten the word out to other states, attended VMRC meetings to share our concerns and also have traveled to several places in Virginia. The problem is this…the politicians we have attempted to speak with continue to turn their heads and look the other way. Because of the Disinterested Politicians, we are still finding ourselves spinning a wheel that never gets the traction it needs to move forward. 
The Chesapeake Bay is heading towards an irreversible collapse if we do not do something now! This is one of the FEW lifelines the residents of the Eastern Shore and beyond have to keep up running as a community. Will you PLEASE hear us out!!!!
