I live in Fishersville, VA/ Augusta County and I oppose Petition 432.

This petition is targetting trans women and is not about locker rooms. There is no evidence that trans women are more dangerous than any other group of people, and by and large the transwomen I have met are more sensitive to how they are being perceived and are kind people. 

I have worked with hundreds of transgendered persons and know their stories and backgrounds. They are people like us, but more often subjugated and oppressed. Becides, each sport at every level has their own policies about transgendered participants and the government does not need to get involved. 

Please don't let this petition pull you away from the real issues facing Virginians. There is no real threat here other then from those who want to look in people's pants to determine where they belong. Those are the real perverts!

Please dismiss this petition for the shameful junk it is and be not bothered by it. Uphold the protections Virginia has in place for all of our citizens and focus on the real issues we are facing with homelessness, housing prices and access, rent prices, car prices going up and we still have areas of Virginia without basic wifi. There are many Viriginian's who still don't have adequate access to healthcare or who have untreated mental illness.
