I am a taxpayer, a voter, and an upstanding citizen. I am also a transgender woman. I am not a threat to women or anyone else; and I resent the implication that I am to my core. This petition does not make biological women and girls any safer than they are now; rather it can only serve to further endanger and marginalize trans people.

We are not a threat to women. We are simply trying to live our lives. Forcing us into men's spaces endagers us, both physically and psychologically. I can see no benefit to this petition and its stated goal other than harming trans women for harm's own sake.

We deserve better. We are entitled to the same representation as any cisgender Virginians; and I would urge cis taxpayers to consider how their money and their time are being spent.
