Pharmacy Interns should not be counted in the Pharmacist/Technician ratio regardless of their duties for the day.  They are practicing to be pharmacists and any prescriptions filled by them still need to be checked by a licensed pharmacist.  Just as a pharmacist is likely to shift duties as the need arises, an intern can do the same.  Having to re-evaluate the ratio based on duties is cumbersome and detracts from patient care.
