Pets are loving and loved members of families; sometimes they are even all you have. Don't let cruel and unlawful shelters continue to practice inhumane and anti-animal-welfare acts, especially in the name of said animal welfare. It is shocking to me that PETA would do these terrible things, as I was once a demonstrator for PETA, and believed that despite their sometimes drastic tactics, they were in essence a good group. I do not think this anymore after hearing the story of Maya and the other animals at their terrible shelters. Never again will I support PETA or demonstrate for them; they must be stopped. Please pass this bill.
