I strongly support the ARC of Northern Virginia's comments while I strongly oppose the proposed 56 hour cap on the waiver CDPA care and replacement of service facilitators with the brokerage model. Under consumer directed care, I want to maintain my voice in who I select as service facilitator. The proposed change removes my ability to choose.
Program administrators need to look at the high levels of medicaid for fraud and abuse. This is where the large fraud cases are likely to be uncovered, not a the lowest level on the rung; plenty of safe guards in place to oversee at consumer level.
